Eco Farm and Eco Lodge Vacation Researcher
As a Director, there are some jobs I really wish I had time for. This is one of them.
Backyard Agrarian seeks a lover of travel, new experiences and someone who appreciates life in all its forms to be the lead researcher and web developer for our new Agritourism section. The ideal candidate will have a background in organic farming, gardening or permaculture. You should also love sitting at your computer, researching, and adding information and photos to a blog-type web platform. Social media and Photoshop skills are a plus but not required. Candidate must be highly meticulous and detail oriented as he or she will be responsible for posting information live to the website and maintaining spreadsheets of contacts and payment dates.
This position entails extensive research to identify the best sustainable and eco friendly vacation options out there, from rustic to luxurious, from eco farms to jungle resorts. This is a worldwide eco vacation listing service that highlights the environmental, health and social benefits of the various destinations. Priority will be given to US-based travel first but the intern will also be encouraged to explore and post international destinations.
The intern will be required to post information on the website about each farm or resort, contact the proprietors and finalize the listing. This is not really a sales job because listings will be offered free through 2012. This listing service is not about green-washing but about identify real value. The right candidate will have a discerning eye and high sense of eco-morality.
